Russian Roulette Prank Revolver - second edition - Samsung store
As promised here is the Samsung store report. Finally they accepted the Prank Revolver app and it went yesterday online on the market.
Downloads:
The results are astonishing, in only one day I got more downloads than the all other apps I have in they whole online market time. The Russian Roulette was downloaded more than 2500 times in its first day on the market. There where at time more than 40 users simultaneously “farting” with the gun! I know this usage is only temporary, until the app is in the ‘new’ section, but I hope the downloads will stabilize at some high level after that. I will report on this in one of the next posts.
Revenue:
The click trough rate (CTR) is much higher than the Moon Racer CTR. This is because the Revolver isn’t an action game like the Moon Racer. The user here has the whole time in the world to look at the ads and to click on them. The better CTR and the more downloads combined make much much higher revenue then the revenue from Moon Racer and Tetricorn together. The exact numbers will be available in the Income Stats at the end of the month.
Future development:
I don’t know why this app got so fast so popular, but now I am considering the possibility to make another app like this one. Maybe I will alternate between “crappy” apps and meaningful apps. It is much more fulfilling to create meaningful apps, but for now it seems that the “crap” apps are more profitable.
